The MCX tom drum is constructed using Pearl's exclusive SST (Superior Shell Technology) manufacturing process, which uses extreme heat, precision cut scarf joints, Pearl's proprietary Acoustiglue and over 1000 lb. of hydraulic pressure to create the ultimate acoustic air chamber.
