The TASCAM US-428 control surface puts you in touch with the awesome creative processing power of virtual systems. Via a single USB connection, it gives your computer a MIDI interface with mixing and transport control for sequencers and digital audio workstations. I/O includes 2 XLR inputs, 2 balanced 1/4" TRS inputs, 2 unbalanced 1/4" inputs (switchable to Hi-Z), and S/PDIF I/O. You get 4 channels of audio in and 2 out simultaneously via USB. There's no opening your computer, no sound card to install - it's USB, so you can even hot-plug it.


Its 24-bit A/D/A converters and provided Mac and PC Cubase software support both 16-bit and 24-bit material, 44.1kHz or 48kHz, and mono or stereo formats. Pan control can be assigned to any channel. The 8 faders can be assigned in banks to control multiple MIDI channels. Other features include 4-band fully parametric EQ, user configurable EQ and FX controls, 4 aux buses, and signal present and signal overload on each input channel.
