The Five-Two utilizes sand cast Alnico 5 magnets on the 3 low strings. This adds more definition and punch to the bottom end. Alnico 2 magnets on the 3 high strings give a warm and smooth top end without sacrificing that great Strat  "quack." The Five-Two answers Strat players' complaints that their low strings sound too mushy while their high strings are too bright.
