Selmer (Paris). Series III, key of Eb, high F# key, C# vent, clear lacquered body and keys, hand-engraved bell, harmonic mechanism, adjustable right-hand thumb rest. Includes case cover.
Series III saxophones are characterized by their outstanding clarity. They are equally at home in both classical and jazz. The brass in these instruments possesses a higher copper content (and less zinc) that results in a softer metal and a warmer, richer sound overall. To further enhance response, Series III saxophones do not have a badge on the neck, and the neck guard uses a wire design. As with Series II instruments, metal tone boosters deliver a brighter sound and greater projection.
All Series II saxophones feature clear lacquered bodies and keys, and include a Selmer S-80 Series hard rubber mouthpiece.
