The Presonus VXP's mic preamp is built with the same design as the critically acclaimed MP20 and M80 and sports a high-quality transformer with Class A discrete FET input buffers and dual-servo gain staging. The compressor section is based on the proven Blue Max preset compression technology. The expander section provides seamless noise reduction and variable control over expansion threshold and ratio. The de-esser is variable from 800Hz to 8kHz and provides natural sound, and its EQ section provides 4-band, semi-parametric equalization. The Presonus VXP includes low/high shelving; semi-parametric, low-mid, and high-mid; narrow Q select; and a high-pass filter for eliminating low-frequency rumble. Its master output section gives you a brick wall limiter. Metering and function lights abound. Mic input and output are balanced XLR, and the VSP also provides 1/4" TRS send and return jacks.
