The artist's choice.
Designed in collaboration with clarinet great Eddie Daniels, the Leblanc Concerto II Bb clarinet represents the next logical step in the evolution of the Leblanc artist line. This remarkable new all grenadilla wood Concerto II offers the same rich, expressive tone and ease of play as the original Concerto model clarinet, but with the added advantage of a revolutionary, silver-plated keywork. The Leblanc Concerto II's gracefully sculpted keys lie perfectly under the fingers for increased dexterity and endurance. Complete with Paris Lite case and Leblanc care products. Eddie Daniels Eddie Daniels is that rare musician, a self-described "virtuoso nouveau," equally adept in both jazz and classical music. Although he began on clarinet at age 13 and received his master's in clarinet from Juilliard, Eddie first came to the attention of the jazz audience as a tenor saxophonist. Finding his true voice in the clarinet, Eddie made the switch permanently over a decade ago and has since won numerous Grammy awards and nominations as well many accolades from critics and peers. Eddie's ambition is to reach as many people as possible with his music, to enlarge the audience for both jazz and classical music and, at the same time, to tear down the walls separating them. Why Play The Concerto II? "Anytime I walk onstage, I can't afford to play anything but the best; it's that simple. I'm playing the Concerto exclusively now, and I've never felt more solid and comfortable—or had more fun playing. First, the intonation is better. Things I struggled with on my old instrument are easy on the Concerto. It delivers a warm, even sound from top to bottom. For the varied styles of music I play, the Concerto has just the right flexibility. I especially like its weight and balance—it feels comfortable in my hands. In total, this instrument represents a big improvement over what the clarinet has been until now." - Eddie Daniels
