The Legacy KO mandolin is crafted from high-grade tonewoods: Sitka spruce for the top, and Western bigleaf maple for the back, sides, and neck. Black binding on the body top, back and neck accentuate the curves and the design of the K-style, which features the original Breedlove asymmetrical peg head as well as a defined bass-side upper bout. The Legacy KO is finished with a captivating red toner full-gloss finish. The radiused fingerboard (which offers great comfort) is adorned with a detailed mosaic pin inlay and oversized frets. Gold hardware is standard on all Breedlove's Premier Mandolin models. For amplification, the Legacy KO is equipped with the K&K Twin Internal electronics system.
