The 3rd Power American Dream combo guitar amp with a Celestion Alnico Gold speaker was designed from the ground up for players who are drawn to the distinctive early and mid '60s sounds coming out of Fullerton, CA. Channel one is based on the '62 Brownface and can offer complex tweed style breakup. Channel two is based on the '65 Blackface, offering clean headroom and mid-scoop voicing and delivering a juicy '60s American tone. Individual channel levels are handled by separate volume controls. Precise control of volume is handled by the patent-pending HybridMASTER control. The amp is finished with a high-quality tolex covering and distinctive piping. A black powdercoat finish on the chassis contrasts perfectly. Further sonic detailing is made possible via the SwitchBACK enclosure design. Players can choose and "open back" or "closed back" sound by way of a removable triangle port lid. Greatly enhancing the vintage experience, the construction has individual compartments for the speaker, preamp tubes and power tubes. This keeps the combo free from the rattles and buzzes found in many other all-in-one combos.
